Has Anyone Ever Tried Clinique's Foundations?

Are they good? Can you name the Clinique foundation that you bought and rate it out of 5? Tell me whats good about that product =)

Bonus Question: Are M.A.C. facial cleansers any good?Has Anyone Ever Tried Clinique's Foundations?
What I like most about clnique is that it doesn't look cakey/fake and that you don't feel like you have alot of makeup on. My two favorite are Cliques clarifying liquid foundation(good for acne prone skin, has great coverage and gives a velvety-matte finish) and Perfectly Real Compact makeup (looks like skin, coverage is good and doesn't break me out].. but their colour selection does kinda suck =\

I'd rate their foundation at about 3.5/4 out of 5.Has Anyone Ever Tried Clinique's Foundations?
The MAC facial cleansers tend to make yoru skin overly dry even if you have oily/combination skin. I say...dont risk it. Its usually a hit or miss with MAC cleansers. My favorite cleansers were Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Renew and Reveal Cleanser (its great becuz it is a mineral cleanser that comes in powder form so you can take it with you through airport security...all you do is mix with water)

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

and another cleanser I like is the philosophy Purity Made Simple cleanser. Its great becuz you dont need a toner if you use this since it is already pH balanced.

and i've also used Philosophy Microdelivery exfoliating wash for some time. it was good.

and when i had acne...ole henriksen aloe vera cleanser was AMAZING!!!!

*******

and about clinique foundations. i've heard that it gives an orange tint when it dries so its BLEH! it also has a history of causing people to break out so I wouldn't risk it.
My mother uses that and she LOVES it,she says that she likes the clinique brand. I would rate it at a 5 cause i lie clinique 2. It dosen't clump like other ones.

Clinique 3 step is making my acne worse!?

I use the 3 step process in the morning and at night and my acne is getting worse! Is there anything I can do to rid of my acne?Clinique 3 step is making my acne worse!?
Ok well I tried that clinque 3 step over the summer, and mine also got worse. But then I tried it for a little while longer, and in a couple of weeks it had completely disappeared. So it will get worse before it gets better. If you don't want that then i would suggest the ProActive three step solution.Clinique 3 step is making my acne worse!?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
It could be the ingredients in the kit that are irritating your skin, and ProActiv contains several ingredients that are bad for you, too...

MOST beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

* Mineral Oil, Paraffin %26amp; Petrolatum – Petroleum products coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatological issues, like slowing cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging, and vitamin deficiency. Suspected cause of cancer %26amp; disruptive of hormonal activity. Mineral oils contain hydrocarbons, a real danger to the stomach and especially the lungs.

* PARABENS – Such as methyl- propyl- butyl- %26amp; ethyl- parabens: Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

* Propylene Glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, may inhibit skin cell growth, and is a skin irritant and sensitizer.

* ALCOHOLS – Such as Isopropyl Alcohol, SD Alcohol 40, Ethyl Alcohol: Alcohols dissolve the body’s natural moisturizers and strip the skin of its protection, leaving it vulnerable to infection. Alcohols destroy skin’s pH balance, and since they absorb water, they speed up wrinkling.

* Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) – Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in OVER 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived'; - and is found in many popular body washes and toothpastes!

* Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

* WAXES – Such as Paraffin, Candelilla Wax, Carnuba Wax: Waxes are widely used in cleansing creams, eye creams, and moisturizers. Waxes clog pores, creating blackheads and whiteheads. They also smother the skin, which over time creates an enlarged pore problem.

* FD%26amp;C – When this abbreviation precedes the name of a color, it means that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has certified it as safe for use in drugs and cosmetics, but not food. D%26amp;C colors are usually synthetic, coal tar colors. They’re toxic and should be avoided when at all possible.

* PHTHALATES – These chemicals rarely find their way onto an ingredients list, but they are present in many health and beauty products just the same. Wherever you see “perfume” or “fragrance,” phthalates are present, because they are used to preserve these synthetic scents. Recent studies have shown that phthalates may be mutagenic, carcinogenic, and adversely affect male sperm, that they increase levels of testosterone and estrogen in humans, and are central to breast cancer risk. They are an ingredient in nail polish and other lacquers, and in soft plastics (e.g., infant chew toys).

* Lanolin – A yellow, semi-solid, fatty secretion from sheep’s wool is widely used in skin and beauty care products. It can cause an allergic reaction in some people, as well as enlarged pores.

* Acetone – Used in nail polish and nail polish removers, this colorless, volatile liquid is often used in astringents, fresheners, or clarifying lotions. It is extremely toxic and will dehydrate the skin, while speeding up the aging process.

* Acrylamide – Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

* Phenol carbolic acid – Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

* Dioxane – Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”. Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and Tell ALL your friends and family!!! (Extra-virgin olive and/or coconut oils are great alternative moisturizers, and they contain natural sunscreens, until you find something else without these toxins)

STOP eating and drinking foods with refined or artificial sugars, like high fructose corn syrup, crystalline fructose or aspartame/phenylalanine. Up your vitamin C, K %26amp; A. Do some exercise like dancing or yoga. Get a little sun everyday, no more than 10 minutes if you have a light complexion. Drink more water. Try using witchazel as a toner during the day, and unfiltered apple cider vinegar at night.

A raw potato is cheap and brilliant acne natural cure, especially for whiteheads. The vitamin C makes your skin glow, and alkaline in the potato kills the bacteria on your face. The potato also has an exfoliating effect helping you to get rid of dead skin cells. Papaya fruit produces similar effect; you should also use it raw. (Make sure the potato isn't genetically modified!)

A wash of milk with lime is a great treatment for blackheads. First bring a glass of milk to a gentle boil, and then add juice from half a lime. When the milk cools down it makes a great face wash. You can store it in the fridge for a couple days. (Make sure the milk doesn't come from cattle that have been treated with rBGH)

Try this:

Clear Skin Remedy

Ingredients:

Besan which is also known as (Gram Flour)

Fresh lemon juice

Yogurt

Turmeric powder (optional)

Method:

Add 1-2 table spoons of gram flour in a small bowl or plate, then add 1-2 teaspoons of dairy yogurt, give it a mix until it creates a good thick paste, when paste is made add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, also add just a pinch of turmeric powder mix all together and apply on whole face. Leave to work and dry for 15-20 minutes, after then wash of smoothly by tapping some water on face and rubbing in a circular motion from there completely wash the face. Once washed tap dry with towel.

Hope this helps!!! Good Luck!!!!!
I know a lot of people will be suggesting things like ProActiv, Noxema, etc. but I don't like to use those types of products because of the chemicals that can strip your face of the natural oils, etc. and I think they cause more trouble...but that is my opinion only...

What I am suggesting is a more natural approach...

Witch Hazel (which can be found next to the rubbing alcohol at the store) and Tea Tree Oil are great products...the Tea Tree Oil can be found at a natural food store...

But I like the witch hazel and it is very inexpensive...

I'm posting links that will give you a lot of other natural ideas (actually, this link will show you how products around your house can help with your acne/blackheads...and a link for giving yourself a great natural facial...

Whatever you choose, if your acne gets worse or starts to look more like a rash, quit using it, you might be allergic to the chemicals in that product...

Again, that is why I like to use the witch hazel and other products listed in the article, they are all natural and won't harm your skin...

Good luck with whatever you choose to use...I've been there, so I know how annoying acne/blackheads can be...
Ok, stop using that first of all! I used it and it made mine worse. I had acne from 13-17, but I got put on Diante, the pill basically, and that cleared my skin up.

Perhaps go to your dr and research some options for you.

Good luck hun!

  • My friend put a lil rubbing alcohol in my masscara!should i not use it now?ALSO what clinique masscara is good

    1)if so then y not?

2)and what one of these masscaras will make my lashes very long and think but not clumpy?http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/multiproduct.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4904%26amp;cm_sp=topnavs-_-makeup-_-Mascara

also what is lash primer? is it good? should i get it?My friend put a lil rubbing alcohol in my masscara!should i not use it now?ALSO what clinique masscara is good
Nooo, please dont listen to your friend, it is very dangerous to mix alcohol in your mascara, as it may damage your eyelashes or possibly burn them.

    As for clinque mascaras, if you want a mascara which lengthens your lashes and makes them very long, i suggest ';long pretty lashes mascara'; , if you want one which lengthens AND gives volume , then try ';lash doubling mascara';

Both are extremely good, but if you want to spend more money on something which makes your lashes look glamourous, try YSL Faux cils, its the best.My friend put a lil rubbing alcohol in my masscara!should i not use it now?ALSO what clinique masscara is good
    1) don't put anything with alcohol near your eyes because u can have a reaction

    2) i suggest you use lash stylist by maybelline new york. if u apply it correctly then it wont clump but make ur lashes appear longer and thicker
I wouldn't put anything with alcohol in it near my eyes.
    1) i suggest you throw away that mascara, because you can get a reaction from the alcohol. Especially seeing as it might come in contact with your eyes.

    2) Im not too sure about clinique mascaras...but in answer to your lash primer question, a lash primer is almost like a base for your mascara. A primer is used to get your lashes ready and cleaned up to prevent more clumping when you apply your mascara. Primers are to supposedly enhance the results of the make-up used.

    Clinique and Biore products?

Okay I want to try the Clinique acne kit and wanted to know if it works. And I also want to try Biore. Which one is better, or which one have you tried?Clinique and Biore products?
Clinique is the best - FactClinique and Biore products?
Iam a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

In my experience of 12 years alot of commercial store bought products DO NOT WORK! They often contain too much benzoyl peroxide which tends to over dry your skin which causes irritations.

Most of my patients are teenagers and I deal with acne problems and in 12 years most of the products out there have not helped.

PLEASE READ THIS WITH YOUR MOM if you are under 18, I have a great solution for you!

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.

If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

    Good Luck to you,

    Michelle

Clinique anti-blemish solution control 3 step?

if you've tried it what effect did it have on your skin? was it worth the money? how long does it last? is it the best skin care that you dont have to order (like proactive)? are any other clinique products better for getting rid of mild acne?Clinique anti-blemish solution control 3 step?
I have been using Clinque for about 5 years and I think that it works. The 7 day scrub works well, too. The good thing about Clinique is if it doesn't work, you can take it back within a reasonable amount of time. I did try proactive b4 that but it made my face feel somewhat raw. I would say that Clinique is worth the price. If you use it 2x daily, the regular size lasts about 2 months, may be more. But if you have oily skin, use gel moisturizer, not lotion. The people that work there are pretty helpful.

I am pergnant, can i still use the product from clinique, like cleanser, moistureriser and liq. soap?

if you have any doubts, ask your dr.I am pergnant, can i still use the product from clinique, like cleanser, moistureriser and liq. soap?
why are you asking such a stupid question? DUH- why are you pregnant when you cant even write a sentence without misspelling several words?I am pergnant, can i still use the product from clinique, like cleanser, moistureriser and liq. soap?
    Yes.
sure you can. the products is made for a range of different people. go for it...
yes but everything you put on your skin the baby absorbs also. I know arbonne is made with 100 natural products no chemicals check them out.
    yea.
    yep, thanks for the points!
    yea
Yes you can still use those products.

Is the Burt's Bees line of make-up really any better than Physician's Formula, Clinique, Liz Arden, etc?

speaking from personal experience, burts bees has worked better for me than anything else i have tried (and i've tried a lot). everything they make is amazing! this might just have to do with my skin, but it is truly a notch above. Is the Burt's Bees line of make-up really any better than Physician's Formula, Clinique, Liz Arden, etc?
I am addicted to the Bees Wax Lip Balm in the yellow tube. It is so minty, soothing and soft on ur lips. its all N~A~T~U~R~A~L Report Abuse
Is the Burt's Bees line of make-up really any better than Physician's Formula, Clinique, Liz Arden, etc?
I LOVE BURTS BEES OMG! they're so awesome so yes it can be
depends, are you allergic to bees? Lots and lots of people are and real bees wax has the same affect as a bee sting. Personally I don't think any one brand is better than the other. It is what you prefer and cost means nothing!
yes cuz they use REAL beeswax. I hate makeup, but burt's bees is awsome. just wearing it a day cures my chapped lips. i also like the peppermintish smell to it.
    ';That was the dumbest question I had ever seen until the additional details, and then it was really funny. Of course not. The first part, at least, is ridiculous.';
I don't really care for the makeup, but I like the avocado butter hair product.
    Well, a few points:

    - Mainstream brands like Maybelline conduct all sorts of horrific tests on rabbits and other animals -- putting chemicals in their eyes, etc. Burts doesn't.

    - Despite this, their products have all sorts of nasty chemicals in their products. My rule of thumb is if I can't pronouce the ingredients, then I don't want it on/in my body. Do you want to put that kind of stuff on sensitive tissues like your eyes and lips? I sure don't.

I personally don't wear much makeup, but I have some Burts stuff and I love it. It's cruelty free, all natural, and supports a small buisness rather than a huge corporation. And it tastes and smells good.
it is a matter of personal opinion. Some dermatologist do not recommend burts because it has a lot of wax in it which can clog pores.
Well from what I know Burt's Bees is more natural. Its made with natural ingredients. Offers preservative-free soaps, lotions, hair care products, cosmetics, lip balm, and more. Unless your allergic to bee's, i think they use bee pollen in there products too.

Which makeup is the best from the follow trademarks: clinique, lancome, estee Lauder, clarins, Dior?

I have tried them all, and most of their products, being the make-up obsessive that I am!

They all have their good points and bad points. For packaging, It has to be Dior. They often have the most stylish looking products, and work brilliantly too.

I love lancome for their maquicomplet concealer (THE BEST) and of course, the good 'ol juicy tubes!

Estee Lauder has gone down a bit in my estimation. I think they have started to target middle aged women mainly. Although they do some brilliant eyeshadows.

Clarins has just done the opposite, and become cool to younger people again. They've really made efforts to ';funk-up'; their packaging. And it does work!

Clinique has always been a bit bland in my opinion. They do brill cosmetics for people with sensitive skin though, and their face creams are brilliant.

Aren't you forgetting Benefit though?? My absolute fave, by a long shot. All their products work really well. Some a little TOO well. Lol. And their packaging is simply divine. really retro and cool.

There are a few other great premium brands that you also haven't mentioned.

    So If I had to list all the top makeup brands in order of preference, it would go as follows;

    1-Benefit

    2-Dior

    3-Lancome

    4-chanel

    5-Yves Saint Laurent

    6-Stila

    7-Clarins

    8-Estee Lauder

    9-Clinique

    10-Mac

they are all great though. I would recommend you take a look at the Sephora website http://www.sephora.com/

They sell almost every brand, and give descriptions on every item. Also, tell you what's hot, How to apply, and even give video demonstrations. What's more, you can BUY the stuff! lol

Which makeup is the best from the follow trademarks: clinique, lancome, estee Lauder, clarins, Dior?
    estee Lauder deff.

    clinique is ok though
    Dior, smashbox, tarte, makeup forever.
As a cosmetology school grad and make-up artist/ skin care specialist with 20 years experience who has worked for many of those brands, I would say it depends on which product you want to compare and what your definition of ';best'; is.

Every line of cosmetics usually has one product they make that is head and shoulders above the rest and the rest is all pretty comparable. Some have better packaging, some last longer wear-wise and some physically last longer, some are a better value, etc.

Estee Lauder is (I believe) still the number one company and they have loads of $$$ to do the research and marketing (great company to work for, they also own the large majority of dept. store brands like Bobbi Brown, Stila, MAC, Clinique, Prescriptives and more) Clinique has some products that are OK , but I would NEVER use their skin care (okay, I worked across from their counter for YEARS and if you compare the skin of most of their customers to the Lauder customers....no comparison).

I currently work at home with Arbonne. I find their products to be very comparable in quality to Estee and the other top Dept. Store brands and in my opinion they are the BEST because the ingredients are more natural (no fragrance, no harsh chemicals, no mineral oil, no animal products) and the $$$ that is made goes to the consultants instead of the models, photographers, marketing dept. and so on.

  • How effective is clinique?

evryone talks about how good it is for your skin

    is it?

    does it clear acne?

are there any other similar products youd recommende in getting rid of acne? How effective is clinique?
The 3 step system? Well everyone's skin is different, but for me, I'm acne-prone so I wanted to try it, and the toner messed up my skin so bad 'cause it has alcohol (never put anything with alcohol on your skin) and my acne got worse, but the face wash and moisturizer are nice. I think it's good, other than the toners with alcohol. But the wash and moisturizer won't really help your acne.

Clinique also has a new 3 step system especially for acne so you could try that (just make sure the toner doesn't have any kind of alcohol in it!).

I use the Proactiv system witohut the toner ('cause, again, it dries out my skin), but the wash and lotion are nice, so yea).

And my skin is SO nice now. I love it!

Everyone's skin is different though so I can't say exactly what would be right for you. If your acne's REALLY bad, I recommend seeing a dermatologist. How effective is clinique?
I have been using the three step now for about 2 months. My skin was not bad at all before I started using it......now I am having the worst acne breakouts. My face breaks out with pimples constantly. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I am going back to the simple ';Oil of Olay'; which is 5 times cheaper and 100 times better because I rarely had a breakout with ';Oil of Olay';, I just wanted to try something different...so I made a mistake by getting Clinique 3 step.
Clinique is RUBBISH! Do not use it on your skin! I used the stupid three step system- it made my skin worse. The toner really stings- so much so that it made my eyes water. Their moisturizers are really horrible too, they're really greasy (even the oil free ones) and take ages to sink into your skin. If you have acne go to your Dr and get some medication. I have really sensitive skin and the only stuff I can use that doesn't bring it up is Elemis. It's a brilliant brand, I highly recommend it. The SOS Emergency cream is great for getting rid of spots. Avoid Clinique like the plague!!
I was a Clinique rep for a year - I don't recommend it. I have combination skin, and didn't have much issue with acne, but my skin didn't feel good.

My sister had an acne issue for a few years - she tried Proactiv and it really helps her.

When I moved from New Hampshire to Atlanta, my skin didn't adjust well. I tried Origins (at major dept stores) and my skin improved greatly. Once I adjusted to the climate and was established at work, I switched to mild cleansing products (ie, cheaper stuff at drugstore). You should try either Proactive or Origins.

Has anyone used clinique's redness solutions line...or any thing else that helps with redness?

For some reason my skin has been really pinky/red this summer. I am getting married in a few months and I'm trying to cut down on the redness. I'm especially red in my face and arms. I'm not sure why. Is there anything that works well to help it out?Has anyone used clinique's redness solutions line...or any thing else that helps with redness?
I work for Clinique and have many clients who LOVE the Redness Solutions line. Its great for calming the skin. Clinique is allergy tested and fragrance free. The cleanser is an overall good, gentle cleanser, the daily moisturizer will help keep your skin calm and prevent flare ups, the SPF 15 primer is great because it has a green tint to it so it counteracts the redness. Although I will say, its best not to wear any SPF on your wedding day. SPF acts like a shield and reflects the flash when you're taking pictures which makes your face look super light in photos. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water also...being dehydrated can make you skin do crazy things. :]] Good luck...I think you'll love Clinique!

Yes, I use them. The foundation is good and feels light with no breakouts. Actually it is called Clinique 'almost make- up' and it is a lotion with some color, but lighter then foundation. they're good and high quality. but since they're aimed for the older generation skin care, they're not gonna free you of all your acne, just mild cases and blemishes.Anyone used clinique acne solutions?
I know of this great bar that is made from a variety of all natural products. I've had a lot of friends use it for acne and its helped clear it up for them when nothing else worked!

Some of the products is contains that will help you are Lavender Oil %26amp; Soy Proteins.

Lavender is useful in treating skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and other common ailments.

Soy proteins help to repair the skin's natural moisture barrier and aids in holding in the skins natural moisture to help keep it soft and supple.

Maybelline is BY FAR the BEST~
    Lancome
    Clinique is good
I prefer Clinique. Lancome stings my eyes a bit.
personally i like the mary kay stuff but between those two i liked the clinique best
I like Lancome. I also really like Alway eye makeup remover for sensitive eyes. Its a little oily but it removes ALL eye makeup.
actually, the cheapest thing you can use is baby oil and great for keeping away lines and wrinkles
I like the Clinique better myself...

Proactiv, Clinique 3-Step System, AcneFree, or Other?

Which one is the best for getting rid of acne and making skin healthy?Proactiv, Clinique 3-Step System, AcneFree, or Other?
i would honestly just develope your own system.

proactive didnt work for me at all my acne got worse because the scrub is very exfoliating.

but what i did is i got a face wash with salic acid instead of benzol peroxide which is better for healin acne. and i got a small tube of spot treatment i like the clean and clear gel it is a silver tube with a purple cap. and i use a toner at night and during the day and if your skin is dry use an oil free moisterizer before you goto bed and when you get ready in the morning.

if you need any more help feel free to ask :]Proactiv, Clinique 3-Step System, AcneFree, or Other?
personally after lots of experince with various skin clensers and systems, i really love the clinique 3-step system. I don't have acne and never did however my skin is very oily in some spots and dry in others. My chin and my nose are naturally very oily, this always caused me to get blackheads on them. So i tried Proactive thinking that it would work on my skin even though i didn't necessarily have the conventional acne problem. Proactive was to harsh on my skin, it made me all red and my skin started flaking off. I had to stop and i did, and as soon as i did my skin returned to that same oily/dry state. I had enough of trying to find something after going through like a million drug store brand products. I went to sophora, and i asked a consultant what she thought and she said because i had large pores and oily/dry skin my best bet would be the clinique 3 step system. As soon as i started using it my blackheads started dissapearing, my pores looked invisible and my skin had a nice balance between oily and dry. My skin still looks great and i've been using this product now for like 2 months.
None of those. They all contain harsh irritating chemicals. Definitely you want something natural. Because it wont irritate your skin and because it is made for your skin. use tea tree oil for spot treatment or aloe vera
I use ProActiv and I love it. I have used probably hundreds of drug store products and professional spa products as well. I believe from my own experience that ProActiv worked the best for me!
Proactiv made my skin worse, %26amp; I tried it for 1 month. Clinique worked well. I've never tried AcneFree.
    Proactiv works well for me!

Did the Clinique 3-step acne solution work for you?

    Cleanse and Tone and Moisterize.

I really want to get an acne treatment because I have acne all over my forhead, nose and chin.

If Clinique didn't work for you, what did?

    Thank you so much!

xDoes Clinique 3-step acne solution work?
The clinique really does work :)

the reason for the acne on your forehead is actually due to your hair ( well its the most likely reason)

So make sure to tie it up in a high bun at night so the oils from your hair dont transfer on to skin and cause acne :)

Orgins spot remover is great for scne clears it up so quickly.

definetly give the clinique a go :)Does Clinique 3-step acne solution work?

I use to use Clinique 3 step and it turns in to 4 or 5 steps. It was not the best product. I use Mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser and the night solution and the day solution and the moisturizor. This has kept my face clear and i love it.

Clinique always!Clinique or oil of olay? Which is better?
No, Clinique is not worth the money. There is nothing special about it.

A line that is well worth the money is Murad. My clients love it and we have see miraculous results from these products. Another line that is good it Exuviance. This is the company that created the polyhydroxies that help exfoliate. Avon's Anew uses the same technology as Exuviance.
    oil of olay, totally!
oil of olay is better among the two.

but i will advice u to buy products from the body shop

they have very good anti aging products. no one can beat them
i think it was in consumer reports or something similar, and oil of olay tested better than clinique and the more expensive brand. i switched from lancome to oil of olay and i like it. its light and doesnt feel greasy.
Oil of Olay all the way!

    - Smells GRRRREAT!

    - Helps dry skin

    - You can mix it in with foundation, to smooth

    - I use it everyday, and I love it to bits!

I love them. They are a bit expensive, but they are the only facial products that do not make me break out and make my skin smooth and velvety.

I have sensitive dry skin, and I use the 3-step system for dry/sensitive skin. What do you think of clinique's facial wash products?
I didn't like them. They seemed wonderful at first but then my skin got used to them and the products seemed to stop working. I prefer Lancome much more..
    I like them a lot.

Clinique and Clarins, which more expensive?

In my country (Greece) both brands are expensive but Clarins is better.Clinique and Clarins, which more expensive?
definitely clarins. Clarins boasted on using natural ingredients, if you survey the cosmetic industry, most brands using natural ingredients like jurlique is more expensive than others.Clinique and Clarins, which more expensive?
I think its clarins, also it depend which country are you from? different country different price
    i think it's clarins
Clarins products are more expensive, although I use different products from them both on a daily basis. I love Clarins' Gentle Exfoliating Refiner, Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Tonic Bath %26amp; Shower Concentrate and One-Step facial Cleanser with Orange Extract. As for Clinique, I use Clarifying Lotion and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. Now I feel like having a bath with all the goodies and essential oil surrounded by scented candles.
Clarins is more expensive. Visit a department store website to compare prices. www.nordstrom.com has both brands for sale if you want to compare for yourself.

It's impossible with oily skin that your makeup will maintain the same coverage for 8 hours. Actually, it's impossible no matter what type of skin you have. But, I've tried a lot of foundations having the same problems you described- wanting something with good coverage that looked natural and lasted. The best foundation I have ever used is Armani liquid silk foundation. It was recommended to me by a makeup artist when I use to do clothing styling for photo shoots. It is in fact an award winning product. It is expensive, but I buy it because it is by far the best foundation I have ever used. Very natural looking, great coverage, and lasts longer than most.

    Hope that helps!

p.s. I also have oily and acne prone skin.

You should always use an SPF of 15 rain or shine, 365 days of the year, with both a UVA and a UVB protector. Try Clinique's City Block. Any product that has an SPF rating of higher than 30 is no more effective than one of 15...and the amount of chemicals in an SPF30 or higher product can irritate skin, so its not necessary to go higher than 15.Clinique experts? Clinique Powder Any Good?

I have sensitive skin with red blemishes. What do you think of the Clinique Blended Face Powder? Does it feel light and natural? Compared to Bare Minerals?Clinique Powder Any Good?
You might want to take care of those red blemishes first. Clinique has an incredible three-step facial care system that can address issues like break outs, dry skin, and fine lines.

As far as the face powder does, they have really incredible options, and yes, they feel light and natural. Your only concern would be price. I think Bare Minerals is a little pricier.

  • I need your opinion about Clinique Self-Sun Body Quick Bronze Tinted Self Tanner Mousse.?

Was it good? Does it paint clothes? Please, feel free and leave comments about this product, becouse I it's good price, but I need good quality too. Picture of this http://www.strawberrynet.com/productDetail.aspx?ProdId=76281I need your opinion about Clinique Self-Sun Body Quick Bronze Tinted Self Tanner Mousse.?
Mousses apply easier than creams, but you need to make sure that you apply them evenly. Exfoliate before application. It will not stain your clothing as long as you let it completely dry first. As with all self tanners, practice makes for better results.

Clinique clarifying makeup!!! HOW DO YOU USE IT?

I have a tube of Clinique clarifying makeup-clear skin formula. I was wondering, since it is non-oily, is it safe to put a lot on? Does anyone put tons on and still have good skin?

Also-can you apply it directly to your skin after washing it? Without a base? Tell me exactly what you do!Clinique clarifying makeup!!! HOW DO YOU USE IT?
YES it is safe. I use it and it' works great. My skin isn't really bad but I have several flaws on my face that I use to cover up. I use it after I wash my face so I get all the dirt and dead skin off so the makeup goes on really nice and smooth.

First, I use some on-spot treatment that hides the really big falws on my face.

Then, I use my makeup brush to dab the clinique makeup onto my face and spread it all around my face. You can get the clinque makeup brushes at the mall for $25 I make sure I blend it in with my skin. Make sure not to put too much onto the brush. I make sure to get the nose, under the eyes, and chin as well.

Then, I use some clinique face blending powder. It's a powder that you put on your face to blend your makeup so it doesn't look cakey and so it looks good. I really reccomend it, it works great!

Then, I dab some blush, and I am ready to go!

Has anyone used the clinique continous coverage foundation, has anyone tried it ??

what is the best to apply it b/c it is thick and i mainly want to use it for concealing my blemishes but the lasy at the counter said to use loose powder over it to set it. how should i apply it???? to get flawless coverage??Has anyone used the clinique continous coverage foundation, has anyone tried it ??
    loreal paris is the best

Does anyone use the Clinique Acne Solutions? Does it work well?

I don't know about that, but I know a great solution:)

I have horrible skin, and I read somewhere that vinager helps. The book I read said to soak a rag in vinager in the shower and to wash your face, back, and chest with it, then rinse off.

I've had GREAT results. Also, several of the models I represent have tried it too with the same results.

All of us had tried other stuff - expensive RX cremes, pills, otc stuff...My creme was almost $250 a month, and one of the girls was on a pill that she HAD to take birth control with. We tried the vinager thing, and noticed better skin in 3 days - even at ';that time'; of the month.and a gallon of it is only like $2, lol.

Plus, the smell goes away immediately, and you're not putting a bunch of chemicals and toxins on your skin or in the environment.

Has anyone tried the Clinique 3-step System?

does it really make your pores smaller and clear up your skin?Has anyone tried the Clinique 3-step System?
I don't know from experience, but one of my friends and sisters tried it because it was cheaper than Estee Lauder, didn't do much, they compared it to some mass market line you would find at a Walgreens,Target, or Walmart.Has anyone tried the Clinique 3-step System?
I tried it several years ago. It did help with the acne, but not so much with the pores. It may be a different system now. However, go to Acne.org. I found this site and my skin has been clear ever since. I still have large pores, but not a breakout one. I think the Clinique would be good, but you need more if you have more than occasional acne.
    no

i used it for a while. my mom still uses it though.

i hated it. it made my face oily and it didnt help with breakouts at all it might have even made it worse.

but everyones skin is different so it might work for you good luck
I tried it about 10 years ago and hated it. The Clinique soap is okay but not better than Dove, Aveeno, or Neutrogena. Clinique makes wonderful lip products but as far as I know they still participate in animal testing so I am trying to avoid their products. Too bad...I love their lipsticks! Anyway, skip the 3-step system with Clinique. I found that witch hazel works well as a toner.
Wow I didnt realize how many people don't like Clinique. I like the 3 step system. I do have to say to use the bar face soap over the liquid, it leaves your skin feeling more clean. There was one girl who said something about Bare Escentuals which I wouldn't recommend if you live in a hot climate or sweat alot. It does even out your skin but when you sweat it looks like caked on makeup. You can really see it even though the infomercial says you cant. It also rubs off on clothes easily. And when you sweat it makes you itch. Back to the clinique it's a face wash, astringent, and moisturizer (only to be used where it is needed). My face feels extremely clean afterwards.
OMG!!! DO NOT USE CLINIQUE PRODUCTS!!! I have had a few facials by one of my friends cousins. She is a professional skin care specialist. I told her how when I was in 7th grade I started to use Clinique facial products and she almost had a heart attack. I'm 23 years old now and I haven't used them in about 4 years. She said that they are awful! They are oil based products and so they clog pores. That was what I was noticing with my own skin. I was trying everything to get my black heads out of my nose and nothing was working. I washed my face every night! Come to find out that the Clinique products were making it worse. I have no switched to bare essentials makeup (which I love!) and I use the skin care products from her salon. I asked her though which ones she would suggest from the store if I had to get those and she said that from either Walmart or Walgreens (those types of stores) she would suggest either Dove facial products or Aveeno. Both of those I have used and are great. But trust me, don't use Clinique!!

  • I been using almost make up foundation from clinique but its kind of watery?has anyone experienced this?

Hi there, I have had that experience with tinted moisturizers and other light or sheer coverage foundations. There is not much talc/mica/solids in those types of makeup, which means it will seem watery or very very thin as compared to thicker formulations. I have used clinique's City Block which is a tinted moisturizer, and sometimes I think the products is way too thin. However, think of it the other way: more water content means less pore-clogging nasty oils, chemicals and greasy ingredients that could irritate your skin.

If you truly think the foundation is really too watery, how about taking it back to the Clinique counter you purchased from; they will definitely return it and be able to advise you on another product.

    Good luck!

It really depends on where you live...if you go online you can actually sign up to be notified when they are doing gift because each store is different. Also look around when you get there and see if there are any kits that are good deals, or better yet just ask a consultant. A question about clinique makeup?

right now, i use merle norman's total finish compact make-up, and my face gets really oily around my nose area so during the day, my face feels weird because of the oil and my makeup and it feels disgusting and i have to reapply it because it does cover very good..in the mornings it does but not like the afternoons. I have a question..I went to clinique's website and they have this make-up called stay true make-up oil-free formula and it says its for very oily skin..so does anyone wear this make-up and does look good and feel comfortable?A question about clinique makeup?
I use Clinique, and I love it. However, if, as you say, you get oily towards the afternoons, the same would also apply whether or not you use Clinique oil-free formula or Merle Norman, in my opinion. I have very oily skin, and this is my problem too. What I do is bring oil-blotting sheets with me and blot whenever I want to ';freshen up';, then re-touch with a pressed powder and this makes me look freshly made-up all over again.

Hope that helps!A question about clinique makeup?
I use clinique and I love it...worth the high price!

I don't have oily skin, so I don't use what you are talking about, but I'm a clinique girl till the end!!
I am oily and Mary Kay has worked for me. I suggest you try it.
I love clinique. I have used since I was a teenager, and Im 32 now, I have always found they had a style that fits my needs. And the coverage is gorgeous.
I teach skin care for Mary Kay. I have not personally tried Clinique but several of my customer used it before switching to Mary Kay. It is important to get an oil free product that is Non-comedogenic.

    http://www.marykay.com/sdoshi/color/foun鈥?/a>
I've used it and it works ok. The only thing I didn't like is it's price. Maybelline hs almost the same thing made with water that I'm using right now. I can't remember the name but it's in a light blue bottle. I am not getting any break outs or oil slicks, nor are any of the dry areas on my face too dry. I really like it and the price is nice.

I cant decide between La Roche Posay or Clinique for my daily cleansing routine...?

Which product is better?? I am currently using Clinique, but I am thinking in switching to La Roche, is it a better option??? I dont have Acne, but I do have an oily skin which breaks out every now and then.....I cant decide between La Roche Posay or Clinique for my daily cleansing routine...?
Really, it doesn't matter. You can spend a ton of money, but if you keep your skin clean and use any good daily cleansing, you should be just fine.

Has anyone tries clinique anti-blemish skincare range?

If so, what do you think?

    is it worth buying?

thanksHas anyone tries clinique anti-blemish skincare range?
yes it is worth buying. i like the product. i saw results much quicker than i expected

Is the new clinique 3 step system good??

I was wondering if the the clinique 3 step system ( i think for acne) works??

Also im 12 years old and i have a little bit of acne and kindof dry skin...would it be okay for me??

Thank you so much!Is the new clinique 3 step system good??
My friend recommended it to me instead of Proactiv. She said it was a bit pricier, but worked better. Now I wish I had taken her advice, because I have been using Proactiv for a while and see no results whatsoever! Good luck!

  • I cant make my mind between lancome and clinique. I like them both, which one do u guys recommend the most & Y?

Please be specific, thank you.I cant make my mind between lancome and clinique. I like them both, which one do u guys recommend the most %26amp; Y?
I prefer Clinique to Lancome because:

    1) most of Clinique's products are fragrance free.

    2) Clinique's lipsticks have a better texture than Lancome's %26amp; no funny taste.

    3) Clinique costs a bit less.I cant make my mind between lancome and clinique. I like them both, which one do u guys recommend the most %26amp; Y?
I work at a Belk Store and I like them both. Lancome has those flavored lip gloss that i love. But clinique has some very pretty colors for the eyes. I know i am not much help but if you are like me i use them both. I get one thing from Lancome and something else for the other.
I prefer Lancome over the two. I've used both. My opinion is that Clinique is a good line for beginners...it's light and it's as easy as 1,2,3. That said, I've heard from more than one esthetician and makeup artist that their toner which contains alcohol is drying to your face. Also note, that no spa or esthetician would ever use soap on your face. Lancome blush is the best - it is like brushing silk over your cheeks. Their glosses are unbeatable as is their mascara. Their mascara is hands down the best.
ok take it from a girl who nows her makeup, ok they both have good thing and not so great things, ok first of all the pice they are both desinger makeup brands but clineque is much cheeper if money is an issure that might be somthing to consier. ok so i really like lancomes juicey line i like the lipstick and the gloss, althogh i like the JUICY ROUGE better than the juicy wear (it really doesnt last that much longer and u pay quite a bit more) or the juicy wear gliter (becasue of the gliter the texture is wierd and u cant varly see it,if u want the extra shine i would put a juicy gelee over it) so juicey rouge is my pick for lipstick. i dont really use lipline that much so i cant really judge. but i love lip gloss so i have tons to say about that. i love all juicy gloss products espeshially the juicy tubes jelly in daiquiri or mirical. for my face i use TEINT IDOLE ULTRA from lancome but i have prety good skin it is not oily or dry and i dhave never relly brook out, so this works for me however if u have any problem it miight not be enough considering it is very light and is just a tint just enough to make my skin look flawless. as far as blush and bronser go i only use MAC (my faviot makeup brand) for eyshadow i high recomend clinique, i find there eyeshadow of a much higher qualite and a better selection, however i do like lancomes COLOR DESIGN POP CHERUB PALETTE as for clineque thier Colour Surge Eye Shadow Super Shimmer collection are absulutly wonderfull but are definately high shimmer they are more for night makeup (try strke it rich on ur eyelash line and in ur corners with disco pink soft shimer spread to ur creases) for mascara lancomes D脡FINICILS in black is the best i have found, for eyeliner i use MAC products so i dont no, i no u didnt ask for MAC info but some of my faviorts are the technokohl eyeliner in Auto-de-blu (but i have blue eyes and blonde hair, so blu eyeliner usually looks good on me u could try a diff. shade) but i like this eye liner because it is easy to control and is incredably soft and smooth, i also LOVE MACs liquidlast liner it is the best for going out or adding a lil funto ur look my faviort shades are aqualine and greenplay but all the shades are fun. ok so i no i just put alot of info in this awnser but let me sum it up, MAC is my faviort for anything eyeliner, or powdered (bush/bronzer) lancome for liquid fondation or anything lips and mascara, and clinique for eyeshadow (espeshially if u are going for shimmer) well good luck to you! hope i helpped and did not over walm u
I use clinique. I have very sensitive skin and their products are allergy tested and fragrance free. They work wonderfully and the ladies at the counter are always more than willing to help you find whatever you need and help you choose the right product for you. This and Mary Kay are the only ones i have found that i can use, but even some mary kay products irritated my eyes, but not with clinique
Clinique worked really well for me..

however i would always suggest proactiv %26lt;greatest
I'm loyal to clinique. I feel like their make up is not as thick as other brands. I don't like to feel my make up. I don't break out with it and I love their bonuses.
I personally like Clinique because I break out easily. I love Clinique's facial moisturizing lotion. I like to tan and my face will sometimes peel, but I can use this and it not only does an awesome job moisturizing but I never break out. Good luck!

I also use proactiv for acne and love it!!
It really comes down to what you are looking for.

Clinique is really good for much younger skin because it is so inexpensive/fragrance-free etc. To be honest the quality of the product is not as good as many think it is. You are paying for a name. A name which is owned by Estee Lauder. Clinique products are less expensive to make due to things like, lower quality packaging, and lack of fragrance. In order to make the products suitable for all skin types (especially those with sensitive skin) they can get away with not using that much of the high caliber ingredients you may see more in Estee Lauder, Lancome, Chanel, etc. However these lines tend to have the fragrance and a higher quantity of advanced ingredients.

Lancome on the other hand I would say is a higher quality. It tends to be more pricey, but you need to consider what you are looking for. I know they have some products that target younger and or more sensitive skin as well.

I personally prefer Lancome's quality. But that doesn't mean you can't use Clinique for a few things you like from them. But I would wait to get it when they are ';in gift'; so you can get a free makeup bag and samples.
Personally I tried clinique in my late teens because it was what other friends of mine used but as I got older I started buying lancome.

Really just a personal choice. I liked the smell of the products and all the freebies when they have promos.
I use Clinique and LOVE IT, a little goes a long way, I used to be an avid Mary Kay user but love the way clinique makes my skin feel, and the ladys at the clinique counter will match you with the colors you need. I haven't wore makeup in 4 years until I tried clinique, My skin actually looks healthier and don't break out as much.

I luv Clinique Superbalanced foundation, but it is EXPENSIVE.PLz recommend something similar but cheaper.?

It should give a dewy finsinh and not make the skin oily or extra dry after a while.I luv Clinique Superbalanced foundation, but it is EXPENSIVE.PLz recommend something similar but cheaper.?
I could reccommend a couple good foundations that you can try:

    - Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse: this is the foundation that I've been using. It covers for an exceptionally long time and feels light on the skin when its on. Its also really inexpensive and goes for about $5-$7, depending on where you purchase it.

I've also read that Revlon ColorStay Foundation is a really good, inexpensive foundation, but its best for those who have dry skin.I luv Clinique Superbalanced foundation, but it is EXPENSIVE.PLz recommend something similar but cheaper.?
The most important thing when choosing a foundation is when you try it, you should try it on your neck, not your hand, not your face. If you can`t see it then it`s the right one for you.
try maybelline , there mineral powder and foundation are great for coverage and not too oily!!

    also cheaper than clinque :)

Is this a Good Laptop? ?

I am a college student and I need something that I can take with me to class everyday and that has everything I need.

Will this laptop work? Is it good? What do you think of the CS series? If not, any recommendations?

    Thank you :D

Is this a Good Laptop? ?
Sony makes good products. It looks like it would be a good one. You can get some that cost less that may be as good. But is does have a 5 star rating and that is important too. In fact, that is very important when shopping for anything.

I am sure you can get a good one for less but do not see anything wrong with this one. Just make sure it has all the features you will need for school and not have to buy another type program that you may need to work on. or have other needs you may have to add on. It is always better to get what you want and need on one than to try and add on. You need to get one that has enough memory because you will be surprized how much memory you will need in school. But, do not over buy either.

Another thing to consider is these laptops do not always last to many years if you use it a lot. They have just about become disposalable because the prices are so low. The one you want is a mediium priced and with good ratings. If you have checked around and think this is the one that will fit your needs, then I would say buy it. Best Buy are very good about standing behind their products. In the case of a computer, it is worth buying the extended warranty.

I purchase all of my electronic from Best Buy because they have competitive prices and service what they sell. I have the Windows Vista and I prefer the XP but almost all of them are coming with Vista and in the next few years the XP may be obsolete. Mine did not come with any decent programs on it and I think that why I got mine for only $400. Just make sure any program you will need will be compatable with that computer.

Good luck on your purchase and hope you have done your homework and know just what you will need for school. Also, best wishes in school. Is this a Good Laptop? ?

This one is really awesome. Hp, bronze, fairly light, great specifications. 15 inch screen,I think 350 or 300 GB hard drive, with Tv out. Also in the same prive range as the sony.

I'm hopefully gonna get this one.

i don't have much experience with sony, but I heard they are kinda complicated.
No, i would not buy that for school if i where you i would go to dell.com and check tho's lap tops out vio is not NOT a good laptop it crashes alot, it over heeth, and the one you want doesnt even come with a video card that meens all video's will be blurry .
I have a Sony VAIO and it's pretty good, but sometimes after a while the battery starts to run out real fast, and you have to replace it. And i'm not sure, but mine is very big, and it might be heavy to walk around with a lot.
Its good but i would say windows vista office premium is good for college the only problem is it doesn't have built in powerpoint
For want you want it for its a fantastic laptop plus its a sony vaio laptop so its a professional laptop and its a very good price for the laptop. BUY IT!!!

    Hope this helps!!!
Sony is generally very low bang for the buck. You would be better off getting a HP from HPshopping.com, you could even get a touchscreen for about 800 dollars right now.

    Very good.

POLL: LAncome, Clinique, Covergirl, Quo or MAC cosmetics?

    I love Clinique. :D

    Please answer

http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind鈥?/a>POLL: LAncome, Clinique, Covergirl, Quo or MAC cosmetics?
Clinique is TERRIBLE. All of their skincare contains alcohol, which is drying to the skin. Lancome is nice for more mature women, they have great skincare as long as you don't have any fragrance sensitivity. Covergirl is good for things like masacara or gloss. Never heard of Quo. MAC is the best for color and foundation. They have the best pigmentation and the biggest range of foundation/concealer shades. Urban Decay has fun colors, too. Nars is another good brand, though they are quite pricey. Nars has great blush.

***Krystal****POLL: LAncome, Clinique, Covergirl, Quo or MAC cosmetics?
You can't compare drug store brands to professional brands. MAC is my personal favorite of the brands you've listed. CoverGirl is not a bad drug store band, though.
Clinique is the best by far in my opinion! =]

never had a bad product from them..their all amazing, natural and flawless

MAC or Clinique brushes, what's better?

I'm about to buy some makeup brushes and I was wondering who has better brushes, Clinique or MAC? Especially when it comes to foundation brushes. Or are they about the same quality?MAC or Clinique brushes, what's better?
i have mac brushes and love them.... and they also have a wider variety of brushes and are known for quality... i have never used clinique make-up or brushes.... but i did notice that mac is usually slightly more expensive then clinique.... but i think it's worth it :)

and also... i use the mac brush cleaner and it works really good! it makes your brushes last longer, sanitized, shiny, soft and also makes them smell good! and.... it's cheaper than the clinique brush cleaner ;)MAC or Clinique brushes, what's better?
I'd trust MAC brushes over Clinique's.

For cosmetic brushes in general - I think The Body Shop's are excellent quality @ a reasonable price.

For good, reasonably priced foundation brushes consider Sonia Kashuk @ Target or The Body Shop. Avon also has one - be sure to get the one w/ nylon or Taklon bristles.

    I got a foundation brush from Lancome - it's just like MAC's %26amp; I got a GWP (gift w/ purchase).
MAC and Clinique are owned by the same company, Estee Lauder, and from my personal and professional experience, MAC has a lot more to offer than any other company when it comes to brushes.
MAC brushes are amazing. Don't scrimp on a foundation brush even though they're kind of pricey. Also, the woman who manages my local MAC suggested that for less expensive, good quality eyeshadow brushes Sonia Kashuk (designer for Target stores) makes great brushes. I get my essentials (foundation brush, angle brush for lining my eyes) at MAC and leave the concealer brush and eyeshadow brushes to Sonia Kashuk.
    i use mac
For a foundation brush, I like MAC but have recently gotten a set of brushes from Sephora. I highly recommend these. They are a bit more expensive, but so worth it.
MAC is by far a better quality brush. They also offer a wider variety of brushes.
I use MAC brushes.I haven't use Clinique before.I think MAC brushes are ok.
I have always liked the quality of Mac brushes. I don't think either company has much difference in the foundation brushes though. I would go with whoever is cheaper. Hope this helps!

What's the best eye cream nowadays? i have eyebags and dark circles. is clinique eye cream good?

i haven't tried that one but sometimes home remedies are better-

    such as:

cucumber and teabags over your eyes these wake up the eyes and stop bags.

don't buy a garnier roll on because it makes no difference and seriously doesn't work.

clinique eye cream might be quite good it might be worth a try. also try this put a metal spoon in a glass of ice water for a minute and then place it over your eye for a minute and then the other eye for a minute.

    Remedies For Dark Circles

鈥?An instant dark circles remedy is to use the correct concealer. The shade should be lighter than your foundation. If circles are very dark, choose 2 shades lighter. Great choices can be Revlon New Complexion Concealer, Estee Lauder Smoothing Skin Concealer, Cover Girl Smoothers Concealer, or Neutrogena Smoothing Skin Stick.

鈥?Apply a good Vitamin K cream. Vita-K Solution gel or Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue help strengthen capillary walls around the dark circles to make them less visible.

鈥?One should go for laser treatment only if the case is chronic. Lasers can increase production of collagen thereby thickening skin to make dark circles less visible.

  • Does Clinique give good makeovers?

No they do not. The beauty consultants at Clinique are not professionally trained. They are sales people who HAVE To do a makeover if you request one. Sure, sometimes you luck out and get someone who may know what they are doing...but otherwise they always give the same look!

If you want a makeover stick with a company that is known for makeup, not skincare:

    MAC

    Stila

    Bobbi Brown

    Trish McEvoy

But be sure to call ahead and make an appt. then you won't have to wait on line or be turned away.Does Clinique give good makeovers?
    I happen to like mine,

I had one for prom and loves the clean natural look i gotDoes Clinique give good makeovers?
I got one from them a really long time ago. I think they're more known for cleansers and skin products rather than makeup. I think it would be more fun to go to the mac counter (but they're always busy), or somewhere where the makeup line is more popular.
they have lots of face cleansers and things like that,

    but they also have makeup.

in my opinion, they give good makeovers.

but better at skincare and such.
Whenever you get a makeover, you are somewhat obligated to purchase a product from the line. If I were going to spend the money to get my make-up done, I would not go to Clinique because their makeup isn't worth the money. Try a different counter!
    yes they do

but ask for light caz they will put it on heavy
    Yes they do..
    Yes they do.
Trust me Clinique does not give u a good makeover. I have spend 100 dollars on a product and it didn't work. If ur going to use a product on ur face wait at least 6 months untill u change the product becuase it takes a long time to work.
Not in my oppinion. Sephora is the best place to get a makeover. I just recently got one and I loved it! Plus their makovers are complimentary. They would love it if you bought something, but you don't have to

Which Clinique Eye Cream Should I buy?

I'm very young but I have very very very dark eye circles no puffiness and no fine line so would you suggest to buy All About Eyes or All About Eyes Rich what is the difference between the two and which would be the best for me??Which Clinique Eye Cream Should I buy?
go to the clinuque counter at the department store. i perfer Dillards.

ask them to help you out.

they might even have some sample packages to give you to try out.

    Is Clinique makeup any good?

I'm thinking of buying their Clarifying makeup (either powder or liquid) since I have acne prone skin. Has anyone tried it before?

Btw, I can't get Neutrogena or Bare minerals in Canada so please dont suggest those. Is Clinique makeup any good?
Yes, but not for everyone. You don't have to stick using only one line, there could be many different combinations of products that work for you and your skin. I have some of this and some of that. It is just a matter of trying everything until you find what works best for you. The samples they hand out are the best way to find out!Is Clinique makeup any good?
    Like others, I love Clinique!

Go to your nearest consultant and ask what you need for your skin type.
yeh its fine ,,, i dont use it that much though , i would prefer mac
i liked clinique. Make sure you test it first. I tended to look a little orange in natural light. I also like almay. the smart shade is very nice. somewhat sheer and dewy for summer... Good luck.
    ok
Yes- Clinique is great- High quality and not expensive. I don't recommend drugstore brands- they don't cost as much because they aren't the same quality. A department store brand has the added advantage of a trained beauty advisor. Find an advisor that understands your wants and needs and stick with them! Be aware that skincare is even more important than makeup. Makeup won't hide neglected skin no matter how good it is.
I don't think it's that good .. of course it is but for that price you can find other that works like it but has a much lower price ...
Try Almay products....cheaper and geared for sensitive and/or acne prone skin. They are in stores like CVS, Walgreens, etc...
Oh my gosh! I absolutely love clinique makeup. It is the best makeup I have ever tried. I love the clarifying make-up. I sugest getting the liquid since the powder makes you look powdery. It looks natural but covers blemishes. There is a brush (foundation brush) that is 28 dollars but it lasts for 9 years. It is AMAZING. Ask the people behind the counter about it. I have never had such flawless skin as when I used that makeup with the brush. The key is that brush though. It looks almost like your skin is air brushed.
I am in the United states, and I am certain that Mary Kay is in Canada. I have used products from both companies, and I have found Mary Kay to be just as good or better than Clinique, and it is much less expensive. Also, my Mary Kay lady delivers to me.
Clinique is definitely one of the better companies out there. I have allergies to many of the chemicals they put into our health and beauty products and Clinique products came up more often in more categories as being good to use for those with sensitive skin. As for the acne, I have a friend who uses their products for that purpose and just luvs them. We never miss a bonus offer.

If you cannot find a product in Canada try buying it on line. I buy Gly Derm products (only available through doctors offices in Canada) online from the States. I just luv there cleanser and clarifying lotion. They do a line specifically for acne. They do not do make up though.
I've used Clinique makeup (including foundation) for several years and I like it. It doesn't cause acne and I have the assistance of the person at the counter when I choose makeup shades.
I love Clinique it is the best!!!
I've heard great things about it! but, as with any product you hear both sides, but, I can offer Mary Kay! I can deliver to anywhere in the world, even Canada!

Check it out for yourself. I have some great products for the acne prone skin, I myself have acne prone skin and have seen wondrous results in my skin!
I used Clinique years ago, but quit when it became even more expensive. They are good products it you can afford them.
IF YOUR IN CANADA HONEY GET YOURSELF THE BEST THERE IS FOR YOUR SKIN ARBONNE. YOU CAN GO TO MY WEBSITE AND PURCHASE IT IS CALLED WWW.BEAUTIFULSKINSTARTSHERE.MYARBONNE.CO鈥?AND WE ARE NUMBER 1 IN CANADA AND THE US BECAUSE WE ARE MADE BY THE BEST CHECK IT OUT YOU WILL LOVE THIS AFTER 20 YEARS OF CLINIQUE I NOW FOUND THE BEST AND AM VERY HAPPY I DID
    yes, clinique is GREAT makeup!
I am a Makeup Artist of 30 years. Clinique is one of the cleanest makeup out here! Yes I highly recommend Unique makeup. It cost more but worth every Pennie! Its not the product it self, but its a very clean product, its very good if you have allergy's. No perfumes its natural. If you use this product stick to it. Making to many changes can ruin you skin.

    From: Ms. D'
I have and the powder is better than the liquid. Try the powder.
I have used Clinique and I think they make a good product. You need to make sure it specifies that it is ';non-comedogenic'; which means it will not clog your pores. Regardless of the makeup you use, you will continue to have acne unless you treat it. Figure out how to prevent the acne (usually medication) and then you can pretty much wear whatever makeup you want. But don't be disillusioned by the idea that a more expensive product will ';help'; your skin - it won't.
its actually pretty good. i like it. depends on if you do. you might think its heavy or too light.
YES, just make sure the specialist behind the counter gives you a full makeover session of your skin and you test it first - i spent no lie- $150 on products that are not appropriate for my skin type- because the girl was a complete idiot and had no clue of her job and yes i threw the recipt out- and now currently am going thru a rash on my face THAT I GOT OINTMENT FROM MY DERMATOGOGIST - as long as you get the right skin care # for your skin you should be FINE
yes it is very good makeup...sometimes you can look in vogue or cosmopolitan magazine and they will have a little slip that says come in for a free sample...so you can try it...i do suggest it!

    good luck!
my mom uses it on her models and customers, she saids its good

Does Clinique make any makeup primers?

Their SuperCity Block with an SPF of 25 will help your makeup to stay on longer and give you a great everyday physical sunblock to prevent further aging. It is ophthalmologist tested so you can take it right up to the eye area and it won't sweat off if you are very active.

CLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED LIQUID OR COMPACT FOUNDATION?

which one is better and whyCLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED LIQUID OR COMPACT FOUNDATION?
I worked for Clinique until recently and am a qualified beauty therapist so i use these products a lot. To be honest i prefer liquid foundation. I would really like to ask you your skin type but superbalanced is a good choice as it covers combination skin (which most people do have). With it being a good brand and fairly expensive the liquid foundation does go a long way and will last much longer, also using your fingers rather than a foundation brush/sponge will make the product last longer(the brush/sponge will soak up/hold some of the founation. The good thing about Superbalanced liquid foundation is that it hydrates your skin where you need it and absorbs oil on areas that need it so it is really good for combination skin.

Also liquid foundation can be easier to blend as you just start in the middle of your face and blend outwards so you dont get a line at the edge, sometimes compact foundation is harder to blend and looks heavier and more un-natural. I find liquid is easier to build up the coverage to suit you.

The only down side to the liquid superbalanced is that if you really like a more powder finish then you will need to use a powder as well (a light dusting of loose powder with a brush will do - dont use a sponge to put your powder on on top of your founation as it wont give an even light coverage it will just stick to oilier areas). So an upside to the compact is that you dont really need powder on top as it gives a cream to powder finish.

Another Clinique foundation i would definatley recommend is Dewy Smooth liquid foundation, it is actually classed as anti-ageing but i am 22 and i use it and love it. I have tried loads of expensive brands but i always come back to this one. People always comment on my skin when i wear this. Again it is for dry to combination skin and it gives a really gorgeous dewy smooth finish, it plumps and smooths the skin and feels soft. There have been so many tv make-over shows where i spot that they have the dewy smooth bottle of foundation on the desk or in the make-up bag! I know a few make-up artists who use it too. It has an SPF too.

But which ever one you chose you should go to the Clinique counter and ask them to advise you on shades and have a try of both the compact and liquid make-up because i can give you my opinion but the main thing is personal preference. Foundation is a tricky thing to get right and you want to make sure you pick the right one for you before you spend your money, people end up with loads of expensive foundations and none of them are actually right so try before you buy!

Sorry to go on but i really hope this helps you - good luck with your foundation shopping!!CLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED LIQUID OR COMPACT FOUNDATION?
liquid works way better i think i use it and its a lot less oily then the powder stuff it feels like that powder stuff makes my face greasy which sounds weird cause you think it'd be the opposite but for me at least its not. Also the liquid makes your skin look like it has no pores!
i like powder foundation best becuz it doesnt come off as easly as liquid which gets on your clothes and if u play sports, when u sweat and stuff it starts to come off and run everywhere

did that make any sence cuz i didnt explain it that well?
I have both the Clinique Superfit long wear foundation and the Clinique Almost Powder compact foundation.

I've used the superfit for quite a while and loved it but after I while I found the coverage wasn't quite enough, as though I had to use concealer with it too, or it started to rub off through the day. So I asked at a Clinique section and the beautician recommended this powder. I absolutely love it.

I still use both together as I still like the foundation and the powder ';sets'; the makeup. Since using the powder (and Clinique's high impact curling mascara) I've have had comments from quite a few friends about how nice and natural my complexion and make up looks.

But if I'm in a rush the powder is definately the winner, a lot better coverage, and can be applied lightly or as a more matte effect. It's really natural and gorgeous with just a brush of blusher.

I have sensitive and quite dry skin, which can get patchy, hence why I use both, but if was more strapped for cash I'd go for the powder. Although I haven't used the superbalanced liquid, I can't see it giving better complexion or coverage than the powders.

Also, the Clinique beauticians have been lovely wherever I've been and give great advice, I'm sure they'd give you a demo of a couple of products and are great at advising you on which type of each foundation will best suit your skin. If you explain you definately want one but want to test them out they're normally very willing to give you samples, which might last you a while anyway! ;)

    Good luck!
